Hi folks,

I have recently bought an iPhone 15 Pro Max as I decided my 11 Pro had served its purpose.

Unfortunately, I am disappointed with the quality of the photos the 15 Pro Max takes. Most photos are blurry even in good lighting, the further from the center of the photo, the blurrier the image is. As I haven't sold my previous phone yet, I took a few comparison photos and basically I don't see any difference in their quality when using the main camera. I can even say that some photos taken by 11 Pro are better than those taken by 15 Pro Max. These photos are also often very noisy and blurry. Interestingly, everything looks very good in the preview before taking the photo. I'm not sure if it's a post-processing effect or I got a faulty model.

Of course I have. These are the photos taken with iPhone 15 Pro Max:

Here are the same taken with iPhone 11 Pro

To me (as best I can tell from the size of images you've put on here) the ones from the 15 look fine: the in-focus sections of both sets of photos look equally sharp to me. The focus falloff you're seeing towards the edges is the normal falloff you see due to depth of field. The lenses on the 15 have a wider aperture than those in the 11, so you see that effect slightly more with the 15.

Minimum focus distance is worse on the 14 Pro and 15 Pro compare to older iPhones, so I think that's what you are experiencing here. If the subject is close and you are using the main camera pictures might come out worse that your iPhone 11. As a test try taking the same pictures but move away like 6 inches or a foot and see if that makes a difference.
