Pop Symmetry (Otter + PopSocket) case?

Anyone seen this in stores yet? Looks like they aren't available from Otterbox's website yet, however i've seen the black one in Target for the 7/8 Plus phones.

Would love to grab one for the XS Max.

Haven't seen it in the wild yet but I like the concept. I never liked pop sockets since they stick out and phone doesn't lay flat but this looks like a great solution. I'd be interested as long as it works with wireless charging. OtterBox makes great cases

my thoughts as well... i think they even lightened the case so it's as thin as possible... definitely want to check them out! Hopefully they release soon.

Def thicket than apple leather, that’s one of the slimmest cases

I picked one up today at target. They had to pull it from the back, not on display yet.

The case has a slight bit of a hump to it to accommodate the pop socket. The socket is a new design, not compatible with the old ones, so I don't think you can put your old caps on the the new socket thing. The pop part removes with a twist, leaving a little base behind.

They left the hump part of the case hollow, so the whole thing is VERY light. Might be space behind the hump for a folded bill or two of cash.

When folded the pop socket is a lot less annoying than one stuck on a case, but it's not as flush as I would have expected either. It's clearly a compromise between bulk/wasted space, and keeping the socket from snagging on things.

I'm a bit worried about the lack of cushion in the back. Is it just hard plastic?

Also have you tested wireless charging with the pop still attached?

I commented on this in one of the case threads. Mine wirelessly chargers on all my chargers, except for the Scosche wireless charging power bank, with the PopSocket grip attached.
