Pop-up saying to restart for time zone updates?

Got pop-ups on my watch and MBP telling me that time zone updates are available and to restart to update them. Anyone know the story here? Googling yields nothing re: any time zone changes. Seems weird this didn't just get rolled into the next OS update. Thanks.

Got this again today, after never seeing it prior to November. Have there actually been two separate changes to the time zones since November?

Apparently yes.

Greenland changed time zones in October, which explains the Nov. alert from Apple. Didn't find any recent updates in a quick search.
