So I re-setup Mail recently after reformatting, and when I set my Gmail account up in Mail I ran into a problem. Everything looked like it was working fine. It downloaded everything up until 9/30/07. So I deleted the account and tried again. This time it got to 12/30/07.

Then it stopped. It acts like it thinks there's no new mail. But of course there is.

I tried redoing my Gmail settings (the part allowing all mail to be downloaded) and all that did was make it start downloading duplicates of everything it had downloaded already (I didn't let it go long enough to see if it would go past 12/30/07.

What's going on? This didn't happen last time I set it up. I would do it as IMap, but I've tried that and the whole system is much more sluggish over Imap - I much prefer POP.

thanks!
