Popcorn 3 -> iMovie

I converted a video_ts folder to a .m4v and and mpeg4 using popcorn 3 (the updated version that works with Leopard). The conversion worked great, the video file plays fine but I cannot import it into iMovie and I don't know why! Other .m4v/mpeg4 files import perfectly. Anyone have any suggestions?

Edit: I'm using iMovie 08. I just tried importing the same file into iMovie 06 and it works. But, I'd rather use 08.
