Due to Italy's declining birth rate, the pope has asked Italians to have more children. He also is asking for lesser sentences for prisoners. Here is the link Pope

Well since Catholics don't believe in using birth control in the first place... um... and Italians are already pretty well known for their, uh... "activities"... how's this gonna help?

I'm pretty horny most of the time, may be the intalian catholic church can facilitate me a visa:D

Regardless of previous reputations, I find this amazing -

'The Polish-born pope called Italy's declining birth rate, one of the lowest in the world, "another grave threat that bears upon the future of this country, one which is already conditioning its life and its capacity for development." '

Any Italian members care to comment here? How is it possible that Italy has such a low birthrate?

after a google search got this (get all the data here )

Very strange indeed.....

D

It's probably due to the fact that Italy's population is getting older and therefore having less children. You would think that with the mostly Catholic population and views on birth control the pope would have to be saying, "okay, you italians need to get a night job" strange indeed.
