iPhone 17 Pro Max Popping/Clicking sound when turning on the display

Hey guys,

I have the Always on Display turned off on my iPhone 17 Pro Max and I just noticed that there's a little popping/clicking sound as soon as I either tap the display or push the side button to wake the iPhone up. It occurs at exactly the same time the display turns on.

I can't capture it in a video since the sound is not loud but it sounds like a little click or pop.

Anyone else also having this? Thanks!

Check this post. It’s the updated front camera clicking when using Faceid. Even if an app needs Faceid, that click will be there too.

I think it’s a non issue as long as it’s not too loud and camera shots are great
