popping sound from speakers

I have noticed that the speakers occasionally make a popping sound which, I think, has to do with them turning themselves off when inactive.

is there a way to fix this ?

If it is a power savings feature included in the speakers(I know a few models have this) then no, there is no fix as there is nothing to fix, everything is working as intended.

I believe the MBP's soundcard also has such a feature, perhaps you could test this with headphones.
