popSLATE Case: Coolest Case Ever? Pre-order now!

Kind of defeats the purpose of a case though doesn't it? If you drop it, and the screen on the case breaks, then you have to buy a new case. And at that price point, I'd want a case that could withstand a few more dings than that.

Ha - I saw some art from one of our artists in the video. Cool idea, though using the lightning port, and still allow a lightning cable to plug in adds at least the length of the lightning plug to the case. It's gonna be loooong. :)
 
Looks pretty interesting. Would love to see it in real life.

Delivery date shows May 2013. And that's for early adopters! ouch.
 
Not worth the $80.. seriously, so you'll have to keep your phone face down to show it off? It seems counter intuitive to me.
 
I think it's a pretty cool idea and will make some people happy, everybody likes different things. It would be cool if they could make the whole case or whole back of the case an e-ink screen that would get my attention
