Popup box when sending an email

Every time I send an email a popup box appears asking for a password, if I cancel it sends and disappears, how can I stop it appearing it is driving me mad.
 
I assume you are using Mail? Check your outgoing mail server settings for the account - 'authentication' may need to be set to 'none' or something.
