One of the most annoying when using my MBA is notifications that popup in the upper right corner and then disappear. Is there anyway to recall them. This morning I had one the contained a name that I knew, but before I could read it or go to what it originated, it disappeared.

It was NOT an email or message, but the name was one of my relatives. What's the deal here, if they disappear, they're gone for good?

They are not gone for good and can be reviewed in Notifications:

1 - Single click the far upper right icon in the Menu bar.
2 - Select the Notifications button and then scroll down to review previous notifications.

THANKS! The popup I saw was probably a troll, but it showed the name of my late uncle. Using your procedure, I was able to find the popup and it was from truthfinder, but going to that site, it appears to be a dead end.
