I'm having issues with the new home sharing on iTunes 9. I am having a "port 3689" issue and it's asking me to open that port. Any clues on how to do this??

I'm having the exact same issues. Did you manage to resolve it? I really need to transfer some music and apps into my Dad's library...

port 3689 trouble

I had the same problem (exact same message). The apple support article (http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2972) worked for me, i.e. make sure the firewall security setting (system preferences/security/firewall) on both your macs is set for "set access for specific services and applications." It said you didn't have to but I did designate iTunes as one of the accepted applications on the list. Good luck.

Still a problem

I think I've tried everything. I've uninstalled Netbarrier X on both Macs and I still have the same problem.

Thanks!

Thanks so much. This was holding me back from setting up a new computer. Saved me a lot of time. Thanks again:)
