port multiplier, la cie or sonnet use with multibay drives

I recently discovered that the lacie esata adapter does not work with my icy dock 4 bay enclosure, it lacks port multiplying.

someone suggested the sonnet echo express thunderbolt adapter, can anybody who has used this with their thunderbolt port & a multibay drive enclosure tell me their experiences with it?

does it work?

I dont want to waste more money & time if the sonnet wont work either.

would this make my lacie esata adapter work with my enclosure?

so it seems there is no solution for anybody wanting to use anything but usb 2.0 with a multibay enclosure.
