Many manufacturers make a 2.5" 1TB drive. You could put that in any external enclosure of your choice to make a portable drive. By selecting your own case you can specifically get the connection of your choice, FW, USB, Esata, etc.. Keep in mind this will be expensive. Of course there are also many all in one externals made in 1TB size as well. It all really comes down to personal preference.
