I'm a freelance 3d artist, and about to go on holiday to Italy for 2 weeks. A job just came in and to secure the work I need to start the job when I'm away. Photoshop and Illustrator work mainly. So I'm thinking of packing my mac mini M2 Pro and a lightweight monitor. Can anyone recommend one that would be good for graphics work?

I have this one that I use when I travel with my MacBook Pro. When I’m not traveling, it’s connected to my M1 mini. https://a.co/d/0hXBMEeg

Fine for my purposes but there are versions in 4k if you need higher resolution.

Thanks, I've ordered this one, gets good reviews, hi-res and matte screen. Bit pricey but hey ho.

Just an FYI, you may want to pack a long(ish) HDMI Cable. Almost all TV's nowadays have an HDMI port & wherever you are staying (Assuming you are not camping) may have a TV in the room that you can use as an extra monitor. I always pack one when traveling to give myself extra space, especially if your main monitor is going to be 16"

That's a good call, I've got a 5m HDMI I can take, should be long enough! 🤣

I picked up this one made by LG last year. It's got good resolution (2560 x 1600) and decent brightness. No touch screen ability, but I have no use for that anyway. I am using a piece of software called BetterDisplay which makes it look way sharper at the resolution I chose -- and also lets you tweak a lot of other settings.

There are also a lot of 1080p models out there, but I think that's entirely insufficient for design work at this point.
