Porting number from AT&T to Verizon. What steps to follow?

Any steps I need to follow?

I submitted this info through Verizon when preordering my new phone. do I simply just need to activate my Verizon iPhone and I am good?

My AT&T contract has expired so I will contact them to discontinue service.

Just activate and go.

ATT will figure it out when the phone number goes away. Give it a day or two to make sure all is set with Verizon before you call.

It should work on activation. If you have the problem where you can call out on the new phone but receive calls on the old phone, you will need to call Verizon for them to do the port for you. You should not have to do anything with ATT - they'll just send you a final bill and that should be that.

It will be worth more to someone else. Even worth more to you if you want to use it with another carrier,etc.
