Porting numbers at the Apple Store (AUS)?

Hi All,

Does anyone happen to know if it is possible to port your number across to a new network when purchasing a new iPhone at an Apple store in Australia?

e.g. I am currently on Telstra, but am planning to port over to Optus and sign a new contract with them.

Can the Apple store do this? Or will I actually need to schlep down to an Optus store to complete this convoluted transaction?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I'm pretty sure you can. Ring your local Apple store and check.
