porting numbers charges $$$???

i will be porting my number from verizon ... if i do it when i activate the phone with itunes is porting free? what if i port it later (like in two weeks) do AT&t charge some thing for it?

From my understanding, porting numbers is free. The only charge you will incur is your ETF with Verizon, and the pro-rated service you have used for this months bill.
