Buddy of mine is the manager of the Pioneer Place store. I texted him about half an hour ago and he said the line was pretty long. He suggested that a sellout was a distinct possibility. I assume Washington Square and Bridgeport have similar lines.

Any idea if AT&T, Target or Walmart stores in the area are seeing similar lines? Want to pick my new iPad up soon!

Apple store at Washington Square is lined up all the way outside. I'm guessing about 4-500 people here so far. Apple guys say there's enough supply for everyone in line right now...

Just called the AT&T store on Broadway in NE PDX. They are taking orders at 5pm but they're not stocking them. They said it is the same with all local AT&T stores.
 
I am at the mall 205 att store and there is nobody here. I am first on their list. If your looking for a 3g version this place is your best choice. Its a ghost town. Im typing this on a crappy atrix laptop dock.

Not true. Some att stores are stocking them, the one I am at (mall 205), has them. I have one more hour to go.
 
Tbe pioneer square mall is packed,hundreds of people, the AT&T store next to mall had 5 ,all five numbers were taken when i checked at 4pm
 
And they are spoken for now. Store only got 7 in. They are now doing special orders now.

Rumor has it that there are close to 2k people here at Washington Square now...
 
That's nuts. I was mistaken, store only got 4. I felt bad for the employees, they were being treated like poo.

I did drive over there, saw the scene and an explanation and left. Went over to Target and found out they also only got 4 so left. I guess I'll wait a week or two.

Not much of a launch when nobody gets any inventory, but I suppose they know we'll all buy it eventually and this just helps build buzz and anticipation.

ATT versions are all sold out at the Washington Square store. Hoping the Verizon versions are still in stock by the time I reach the store or this was all for not.
