Portrait Mode for video?

Hi All -

I keep seeing forum threads that indicate it is possible to watch video in portrait mode instead of landscape.

Is this true? Because the music videos I download and the movies and tv shows that I have downloaded all play only in landscape.

Is there some setting that you all know of or something I am missing that would allow me to watch video in portrait mode?
