Do you think that Apple will release a software update that will allow Portrait Mode on the XR towards subjects that are not human like objects or pets?
I'm coming from an iPhone 7 Plus and actually use portrait mode quite a bit, but it's not always with people. I've been eyeing the XR ever since it was announced and I love how it looks in person, but this one feature is holding me back. I would really consider purchasing the XR if I knew that a software update was coming. I know that this won't be an issue with the XS, but I personally don't feel like it's worth it to spend that much more money.
