Thinking about a new MBA 13". But at work I need to have ethernet and I need to drive my 30" cinema display. The display alone will use up the Thunderbolt port and one USB port (and of course it has no Thunderbolt throughput for a daisy chain). So it looks like I'd need a USB hub and a USB-to-ethernet adaptor (the hub is necessary because I'll need a bunch of other stuff plugged in, too).

I don't think there's such a thing as a USB 3 ethernet adaptor, is there? How well would an ethernet-to-USB2 adaptor work in a USB 3 port? And would I need a USB 3 specific hub, or doesn't it matter?

(Or maybe there's such a thing as a Thunderbolt hub? If so, would that be my best bet for ethernet *and* the cinema display *and* things like an optical drive? Starting to look pretty pricey... Maybe I should stick with my 2009 MBP 17"... but I'm sick of carrying the damn thing on my bicycle commute!)

Any advice appreciated.
