So I'm pretty close to buying an iphone off of ebay. I was just wanting to ask yall what some of the bad things about the iphone 3g were, and some of the really good things. I know a little about it from messing around with some of my friend's phones. I'm not worried about the screen cracking since I take very good care of my electronics.

I bought a phone near Christmas without looking at the reviews..worst decision in my life. That's why I'm getting a new phone. My current phone, Samsung Impression, freezes, doesn't send texts half the time, doesn't tell me when I recieve the messages, and the keyboard lags a lot.

Any advice would help :]

Thanks :]

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_0_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8A306 Safari/6531.22.7)

I'm going to have to disagree with everyone else, and say "Get a 3GS instead of a 3G."

Oh, wait.
:)

Thanks yall...I looked back at the listing, and it is a 3GS :D

All I gotta do is wait 4 days :/ and hope no one randomly starts bidding at the end.

Yeah, I've looked on Craigslist, but nothing yet.

*sigh* this sucks. I can't find one anywhere. That I could actually own. And not lose at the last minute.

Do not buy the iPhone 3G. Seriously, don't.
3GS is the perfect choice if you don't wanna pay too much but still have a great phone.
At first I thought that I didn't really need multitasking, but once you use it, it's a pain to go back not having it. And if you jailbreak a 3G and add multitasking (that's what I did), your phone will be even slower than it would be with the current iOS.
So, 3GS if you want to pay less.
