hi hoping someone can help please!
i have an iphone 4 jailbroke and unlocked. until recently i have been able to have facetime and record videos with no problems. now when i facetime the other person can not hear me, and when i record videos cant hear anything.
i can however record voice memos with no problems.

is this a hardware fault? i have not changed any settings or anything like that, its just suddenly started happening.

do i need to take it to a apple store? only issue i have with doing that is that i would have to restore to factory settings losing my unlock, and if apple dont replace then i am stuck with a locked iphone to tmobile but i use o2.

please help!!

Try a hard reset, if that doesn't fix it, restore as new, in iTunes.

Hard reset didnt do anything, and dont really want to do a restore as i will lose the baseband i have meaning a locked iphone.

just realised that memos dosent work either. seems the mic is broke. hopefully apple will replace the phone
