Poss to get the 17" screen brigther?

I tried various calibrations, but none seem to top the original settings. I have the 9c98 screen. If I turn it down just one notch, it´s not bright enough for me.
Any tip?

The bold part is confusing me when I take your thread title into account.

You can manage brightness levels more accurately by pressing SHIFT+OPTION/ALT+F1/F2.

But to get the screen brighter than it already is on the maximum level you need to get a brighter back light.

It also works for volume control, but obviously with your volume buttons.
