Is it possible to daisy chain 2 of the Cinema Displays and connect to 1 thunderbolt port and connect a third Cinema Display to another thunderbolt port on it's own on a Retina MacBook Pro and all 3 work perfectly fine?

Apple - MacBook Pro with Retina display - Technical Specifications
Dual display and video mirroring: Simultaneously supports full native resolution on the built-in display and up to 2560 by 1600 pixels on up to two external displays, at millions of colors
Thunderbolt ports and displays: Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Well my question comes up from the fact that people are running 3 displays connected to it, 2 through thunderbolt and 1 through HDMI. So again, my question is, wouldn't it be the same thing using 3 thunderbolt displays connected as I previously posted?
