What is the possibility of enhanced Bluetooth capabilities in the next iPhone?

I'm talking functionality like: sending/receiving files, using software like BluePhoneElite to send/receive text messages and receive/make calls...

And one other question ...
I haven't been following the iPhone rumours very carefully, so what is the general consensus on when the next-gen iPhone will be released? (is it a matter of weeks/months?)

(I am aware no one knows the answer, I'm just asking for some estimations)

If we don't have those features by now, I have a feeling we'll never get them.

Some independent devs are working on a solution. Google 'Sweettooth'.

I think we'll eventually see more bluetooth support for things like other headphones and ear-pieces. Maybe connecting with other 'basic' phones to copy photos back and forth. Maybe.

For file-transfering with computers, however, I doubt it. Anything Apple comes up with for that use is going to be wi-fi based, I would think.

Anything else related to making calls is never going to happen.
