I was looking at the specs of an imac g5 isight, and saw that it has apcie radeon x600 onboard. It got me thinking that if someone were to dump the rom of one on an imac g5, could it be possible to flash it onto a pc x600? Its certainly not the best card, but they're pretty cheap and with so few pcie cards that are compatible with the pcie g5, i figure one more option can't hurt. Has anyone ever tried that before?

I don't see the rom on themacelite, else i'd just buy one myself and try it out. If someone has rom of the x600 from an imac id be happy to do some experimenting myself.

As far as I know the X600's Fcode ROM is compressed into the iMac's 1MB boot ROM, and no one ever figured out how to decompress the boot rom so that it could be extracted.
