Possible artifacting caused by Mighty Mouse?

I've got a powerbook 12" using a custom cursor provided by mighty mouse. Every so often, I get a checkered artifact that flashes very briefly below the cursor when its in motion. Anybody have a similar problem, or know what's causing this?
