My new MacBook Pro seems to take a long time to recharge the battery. I noticed for example that the last 12% to 100% takes about 90 minutes (88% to 100%). Is this normal? Thanks

I dont have yet a MBP but I'd say that this is quite fast for a charging time.

I've noticed the same with my new MBP. I am not sure that this is normal for a MBP but my late 2007 model MB definitely did not have this issue.

This is somewhat normal. It is referred to as trickle charging. 90 minutes seems to be a bit long, but it typically takes my machine about half an hour to get from 95% to 100% (this has been the case on my previous macbook [2 batteries] and macbook pro)

EDIT: It is referring specifically to lithium-ion iPod batteries, so I am not sure how this differs with the lithium polymer in the new machines, but they say this:
[It takes] about two hours of charge time to power an iPod to 80% capacity, then another two hours to fully charge it.
