I'm seeing something odd in my iMac. When I go to Apple/About this Mac/Storage/Manage/Messages it says I have 6.9 GB of storage taken by messages.
When I enabled Messages in iCloud it is using 12.9 GB of my iCloud storage. When I dig into the library folder my messages folder is 13.55 GB (most of which is in attachments)
Perhaps when manually migrating my messages folders from my old Mac to my new Mac I might have fudged something up? When I use messages on the Mac everything seems to be just fine.
Could I have possibly created duplicates? Or does High Sierra just underreport the amount of space taken by my messages?
Looking to trim it down for the sake of my 50Gb iCloud Drive.
