I have an iPod touch 3G, and I just updated to 3.1.2. I went into the Photos app, and I've attached a screenshot. It says "No photos or videos". Was it this way in 3.1.1, too? Maybe Apple intends to add a camera soon.

its always been like that going back to the first Gen iPod Touch, even the iPhone does that.

how is that in ANY way related to a possible camera?

The ipod touch can view photos and videos without taking them you know..

You don't see the videos you sync in iTunes show up in the Photos app. They go into the videos app. On the iPhone 3GS, videos you take with the camera show up in the camera roll in Photos.app, however, so that it says no videos inside the photos app implies that perhaps in the future, one will be able to see videos inside the photos app, i.e., from a built in camera.

When you sync an event from iPhoto you can now choose to include the videos in that event. If they are formatted correctly they will sync to the iPod inside the Photos app and appear just like videos do on the iPhone 3GS.

(imagine we did not have a simple clue what the screenshot was all about?!)

Even if it was a camera update for the ipod touch...

do you have an actual camera on your ipod touch 3G right now?

why would you have this popping out on your screen if you have no camera on your itouch?:rolleyes: doesn't make sense...

i noticed that. that is interesting. when i had my 2g, i dont think it said photos AND videos. i am hoping this is true and that the camera ipod touch will come out in a week or two with the macs. i am waiting out on buying one.

The new software allows syncing of properly formatted videos in iPhoto events now. The videos appear in the Photos app. Has been there since 3.1.1
