Finally,

I founded a way to get my OCZ Vertex working with my uMBP 13 2.54 MBP. It seems that the issues are kind of related to the Sata cable that is used to connect the HDD (or SSD) to the logicboard.

Here's what I did.

Before EFI 1.7

- I wasn't able to get pass threw OS X install with 10.5.7 and SL 10A380 (WWDC) with my Vertex. The installer was hanging at about half of the install.

- I finally decided to get back to the Hitachi 250 that was coming with the MBP.

After EFI 1.7

- After reading on OCZ Forums that the update solved the issue with the June's uMBP I decided to give it a try.

- This time, I was able about to get almost thew the install. I was always hanging at the "1 minute left" part.

- Also, I tried to Carbon Copy Cloned the drive but it was hanging before the end.

Here what worked: After almost 2 days trying to get my Vertex works with the machine I decided to try a different approach.

I had a Optibay like enclosure laying around and I decided to give it a try. As a result, the drive is super stable connected to the optical drive sata cable.

See the attachment for X-Bench Result

Here's my question to those with SSD and June uMBP, is your SSD connected to the Superdrive Sata cable of to the HDD one.
