When I booted up my computer today, a messaged popped up something to the effect of "qmasterd is requesting network access: allow or deny". I denied it but it seemed suspicious. I have never seen or used that program. Sorry if this is TMI, but yesterday I clicked on a link for the rumored Nicki Minaj Sex Tape, and something immediately began downloading:

I canceled it before it completed but I fear that something made it through

What should I do?

Well you have a link to a .exe there which is a Windows executable and is impossible to open or harm your Mac. You need not worry about anything.

Yeah I saw that, so I ignored it yesterday, but today when that message popped up I became concerned.

A Google search on that error showed a few sites relating to a problem with Compressor or something. Looked like a legitimate problem, and not malicious hacks.
