Possible iMac Display Issue?

I recently found this on my display. Does anyone know what this line is? I'm still under Apple Care should I take it in to get fixed? There is also some splotch marks on the display they have been there since I got this machine but I always let it go wash;t that much of a bother but this is and I'm afraid it may get worse.

Uh that looks normal. On Windows 7 it's a horizontal line. What's the issue?

That's still very odd. I'd suggest stop using the system, and bring it in before the line completely fades away. Then at least you know it won't come back, and you'll have a new screen. That's just my feeling on the situation...

I may have to do that. It's hardly there now. But I do have pictures of it.

Looks like severe image retention. (was there a window in that position?)

I was just about to comment yes it is image retention after all! I had my twitter feed there. Do you think they would replace it for image retention? I mean that is pretty common of LCD displays to do.

More updates! I chatted w/ Apple Support and she was very nice! She said that image retention would be covered under the AppleCare so I'm going to take it in next sat when the appt times are posted. I have pictures and a record of the chat if its needed. Hopefully it won't be a big hassle.
