Replacing the dock connecter on an iPhone 4 4s looks pretty tedious and those small screws are hell. If you suspect your dock connector is bad could you just take the back off, pop off the ribbon cable from the logic board and plug in a new dock connecter to see if it solves your problem without having to go through the tedious replacement process. A new dock connector is only $5 to $14?
