possible JB for 4.2.1 bb 03.10.01

is there a untethered JB available for iPhone 4 4.2.1 BB 03.10.01 ?

and if so what JBs and which is better.

w/ my 3gs I used blackra1n and loved it. has geohot's came out with a JB for my phone version listed above?

any helpful information would be great, thank you all.

Use Greenpois0n to jailbreak your Iphone and it is untethered.

You can download greenpois0n directly from its website www.greenpois0n.com
 
I already know that greenpoison is suitable for IOS 4.2.1 BB 03.10.01.....but the link is not working properly...if someone could help me in any other way.!!!
 
Unlock/JB

I have a iPhone 4 which is on 4.2.1 and 03.10.01 BB.

Is there any unlock or JB yet? i've read that there 4.3.1 JB is out, will i be able to upgrade to 4.3.1?
 
there is no unlock after 01.59.

4.2.1 is jailbreakable with greenpois0n
4.3.1 is jailbreakable with redsn0w or pwnagetool

you can restore back to 4.3.1, or if you have your SHSH blobs with tinyumbrella, you can also restore to 4.2.1.

So if i download the IPSW file for 4.3.1 and restore it using Itunes and then JB with Redsn0w. will it work? coz i tried greenpois0n on the current 4.2.1 with 3.10.01 BB and it didnt work.

You must be doing something incorrect. Therefore, greenpois0n did not work on 4.2.1 for you. Lot of us used Greenpois0n to jailbreak 4.2.1 previously and we did not find any problem.

It might help if you can give us steps on how you do it and what error message you receive from it so we can assist you on how to solve the problem.

Also, baseband version has nothing to do with jailbreak. You aren't unlocking so don't worry about it. No need to mention it.

First thing I would do, right now, is to get tiny umbrella and back up your SHSH.

Then tell us what's not working with Greenpois0n.

i dont get any error message my phone doesnt get any signal, i run greenpois0n and then download ultrasn0w from cydia.. and still no signal on the phone.

ps: its a brand new phone purchased from AT&T and it came with 4.2.1 with 3.10.01 BB.

There is your problem. currently, there is no unlock for baseband 3.10.01. Ultrasn0w only works for baseband 01.59 on Iphone 4. Ultrasn0w will not work for Iphone with any baseband higher than 01.59 and that the reason you did not get any signal on the phone.
 
Are you trying to unlock it also or run it on another carrier. You are confusing us with bb. Again bb has nothing to do with jb bb has to do with unlocking.

Exactly! so i will the same problem if i do the 4.3.1 upgrade and use redsn0w right?

Yes i am trying to use it with a different carrier.

So what am i doing wrong here?

What you did wrong was buying a phone that cannot be unlocked. Doesn't matter if you're on 4.2.1, 4.3.1, jailbreak it with greenpois0n, redsn0w, pwnage or yo' mama, it's not going to work.

Take the phone back, get a refund, and buy one that can be unlocked.

Like Labman's post above, Jailbreaking & unlocking are totally 2 different things.

Just an advice, you might need to read stick notes in the front of the forum about basic information on jailbreaking so you can understand more on this topic and know the different between jailbreak and unlock.

I did not mention this due to its legality, but this is your only option with the locked phone you have right now. Live and learn I suppose. Next time I'd do a little more reading before buying a $600 phone that is now an overpriced iPod touch.

this is the best advice so far and it came from you! reading the stickies at the top of the forum would have told you about the difference between jb and unlocking. iCrook was the thread starter I guessing that you have a couple of accounts.
