Possible logic board replacement 2010 iMac 27"

I was having graphic anomalies and distortion on my screen. I took it to the apple store. They determined three outcomes.
1. My third party ram was screwing up (crucial)
How likely is that?
2. Graphics card replacement. $260 repair
3. Logic board replacement $550 repair

Any likely outcome of this? I really don't want to spend $550 on a repair that's only 90 day warranty. Should I just buy a new computer?
Do I have any other options?

I was getting random pixel boxes on the screen.

Is my computer worth anything to sell?
