So I just got an email from Apple regarding the opening of a new Apple store in the Cerritos area.
Join us for the grand opening of The Apple Store, Los Cerritos and the arrival of iPhone 4. Doors open June 24 at 7:00 AM
Come to the new Apple Store, Los Cerritos, and bring your curiosity. It's the best place to get set up with the new iPhone 4, learn all about the Mac, see the amazing things iPad can do—even get advice for your business. And if you find something you like, you can take it home that day. When you get to the store, find a Specialist in a blue shirt—they're your guides to everything from checking in for an appointment to checking out instantly. In celebration of our new store, current Mac owners can buy a One to One membership—normally available only with the purchase of a new Mac.* And the first 1000 customers get a free commemorative T-Shirt.**
Now this is PURE speculation on my part but...
One could assume that since the store wasn't live last week, that they don't really have a normal reservation / pre-order list established versus the other Apple Stores. No open store = no walk in reservations / pre-orders established. Since the store wasn't live, I don't think it appeared on Apple.com or the Apple Store app until today.
If you look to the top of the email, they're opening at 7am and offering iPhone 4's.
Just some info for my peeps in So. Cal looking for an opportunity for day 1 goodness.
