When downloading 2.02, etc. don't touch anything until the dialogue box on the iPhone says "iPhone is activated".

There are some events prior to this message that would make you think that you are done and lead you to remove the iPhone from its cradle before everything is actually completed. This could lead to errors and problems I would think.

Apple could do a better job guiding people through this process, maybe with a big task bar that keeps people informed of the progress.
 
Like the event that says "iPhone is restarting. When installation is complete, iPhone will appear in the devices section." That would kind of lead me to believe I should leave it alone until it shows up in iTunes.
