Possible SMC bug on Late 2013 (maybe Mid 2014) 13" rMBPs

  • Install HWSensors or iStat Menus (or any respectable, updated sensor monitoring app)
  • While the magsafe is plugged in, check sensors values. Are they updating/changing? Notice the graphs.
  • Unplug the magsafe connector.
  • Do your sensor values seem to "freeze." Notice graphs will draw horizontal line(s).
  • Replug magsafe. Values begin updating again.

I have reported this to Bjango support (iStat Menus developer) and they have concluded that this is something beyond their control and only Apple can fix it.

Any ideas?
