My replacement is performing similar to my first 7+, and that one was returned because my calls were cutting out. I performed the routine resetting and troubleshooting with the first one. My calls sound robotic at times and in comparison to my old phone it can't hold calls as clear. So then I thought it must be my service. I called my provider and I thought perhaps something new was happening with the local towers but when it turned out that was not the case I dug out my phone 5 and switched SIM cards and had a conversation. With the 5 I walked around in the more problematic areas and despite the bars saying 4G at times the call quality maintained.

My iPhone 5 and 6 that I traded in gave me no issues. I have reset the network, turned lte and voice on and off, put it in recovery mode, and called my provider (T-Mobile). My phone continues to fluctuate from one to five bars in the same spot and although I'm not sure if that's normal I feel it might explain something. I noticed that also if I put my phone in my pocket if I'm on the headset walking around outside or inside I notice it goes in and out even more so then I quickly remove it.

I believe it's an antennae thing? Im trying to avoid getting a third phone and it really being just a new design issue or an issue just with the vzw version. Perhaps because I'm using T-Mobile on VZW?
