Is it possible to burn a small movie to CD using the combo drive? Existing software is iMovie version 3. (not wanting a CD with movie files that need to be read by a computer) I would need it to be playable on a TV dvd player that plays CDs. Also not interested in buying new software/hardware for this task.

Check out a software application called VCD Builder. I think the last version was 1.1.3 and its super easy to use.

If your DVD player supports "Super VCD" (SVCD) then that's another option if you can find software to make one (the quality is better than regular VCD).

Thanks. Can you recommend a safe site to download VCD Builder?

Thanks. The product description says that Toast is needed to do the CD burning. In your experience does VCD Builder also do the burning or only the VCD disc image?
