I strongly doubt they'll sell it to you if you don't pay your bill. Just saying.

The price of 16gb & 32gb is $600 & $700 repectively. If on white iPhone 4 sale day you can't buy outright you may consider the following: You may be able to buy it and cancel the contract after 30 days. With the adjustment of the cancelation fees that AT&T made now being $325 you'll pretty much break even; thus, the reason for the adjustment. Except that you may have the risk of affecting your credit score maybe. What does anyone else think?

There's no negative report on your credit report if you actually pay all your bills or the ETF in full and on time. After 30 days late on either one, THEN they report you.

They won't allow him to buy a new phone at all while being late on his current contract payment.

He's planning on buying it to resell it when the supply of white iPhones inevitably runs short.

That's why he said "the profits will pay my bill". He knows there will be very limited quantities of the white iPhone initially and he can sell it for 50-100% markup.
