I'm trying to use Air Display with my iPad on campus, but it doesn't seem to work well here despite both my MacBook and my iPad connected to the same network. As a result, I'm thinking of getting a cheap USB wifi dongle and using that to create an adhoc network to connect with my iPad while using the Air's internal modem to stay connected with the school network. Is this feasible?
