Possible to daisy chain hdmi cable and iPhone dock?

Hello.... Just morbidly curious before I buy something, is it possible to daisy chain an iPhone 4 dock and a hdmi cable, while still retaining use of the hdmi output? Does the dock pass through the pins used by the hdmi connection?
