Hi Everyone

I have purchased a couple of different headsets, and I am wondering if it may be possible for me to turn off the media..but keep the audio in the bluetooth headset that I wear. In android, this is possible, but I cant seem to find it within the IOS system.

I would simply like to have my bluetooth headset work for calls..dont need to hear my email chiming from the headset.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks!
Andy

I'll help if only by bumping but I don't think you can. You can set the phone to silent/vibrate and still get a ring on your head set for phone calls but not email and messages.

Also by pressing the AirPlay button on video media you select the audio source. So for example have YouTube audio goto the phone and not the headset.

Yes, you can do this. Swipe up to open Control Center, tap the audio source button, and change it to iPhone. Your calls will still go to the headset but all notifications, etc play through the phone speaker like normal.

The only annoyance is that you have to do this every time the headset pairs (once a day for me, in the morning when I leave for work and turn the headset on).

perfect!

Thank you so much for your assistance. This worked beautifully
