I currently only have one machine that will run 10.9 server and I'd like to install this OS side by side with regular 10.9. I also have a bootcamp partition if that matters. I want to do this so I can learn more about the server OS.

Would it be as easy as creating a new partition in disk utility, downloading 10.9 server from the app store and then installing it clean on that partition? It might be a silly question, but I don't want to spend the $20 if I can't use it.

Thanks!

Mavericks Server is simply an app that runs on top of Mavericks. If you've got 10.9 installed, download MServer and you're ready to go.
