Possible to encrypt TM backups ex post facto?

Hello all,

Quick (?) question - I have a few months of *unencrypted* TM backups on my DAS - and only recently discovered the possibility of encrypting them.

Can I switch the encryption on now, somehow, and have future TM backups encrypted? Or will I need to nuke and pave, and start afresh, with (only) new encrypted backups?

You can switch it on now and it will encrypt the existing backup while preserving the backup set. Just be aware it can take quite a while for the encryption process to complete... so just let it run.
