I recently bought a receiver that routes all audio and video through it and outputs hdmi to my television. In the past I enjoyed connecting my computer to my tv via mini-vga to hdmi converter, but while the computer is connected to the receiver it doesn't seem to understand that it needs to output video. I try 'detect displays' but it does not see one, so it does nothing. Does anybody know a way to force a second display output to always be on, even when nothing is connected to it? That way it would always output a second display and never question what device it's outputting to.
